a little help in changing hqi bulbs

i just got a new HQI bulb for my jbj nano ... I'm not sure on how to take the hood off or

get the cover off to get to the bulb and change it thanks

I would take the lid off first. The hinges have 4 plastic screws holding it in place. I believe (its been a while) that you can access them with the lid closed. Once it is off, you can undue the clear plastic lens cover which has a ton of screws.

cool i see them i took two off last night it didn't move ill try by doing all 4

There may salt creep in there, so it may not come off easily.

i got it .... i swear this tank is 3 plus years old ..... i think it had the stock MH bulb .....

what happens during the breakend will the light change color ????

Need to be careful during break-in. A new lamp puts out more light most of the time. Shorten your light cycle (photo-period) by 2-3 hours or screen the top to cut down on the amount of light in the tank, then gradually increase (or remove the screen) over a couple of weeks.
