Sharkey18 October 31, 2012 Share October 31, 2012 So I'm a mac person. But all the ecotech / controller software is only made to run on PC's, so I am planning on buying a small PC to use just to run my tank. Anyone using ecotech radions have any insight into what specs I should get or will any new laptop do the job?
epleeds October 31, 2012 Share October 31, 2012 i have a small netbook that i use for my MP40's. no need to spend a ton of money when you can get one of those for $200.
DaveS October 31, 2012 Share October 31, 2012 I assume the requirement is Internet Exploder. How about using Parallels and running a Windows virtual machine on the Mac?
amay121 October 31, 2012 Share October 31, 2012 +1 to what Dave said. Don't buy another computer, just go and get Parallels or Fusion and then install Windows. You'll be able to control whatever you want from there.
hypertech October 31, 2012 Share October 31, 2012 I'm in the don't buy another computer camp. You can run it in VirtualBox or use BootCamp to setup a windows partition.

Not sure how to do it, but since i have a mac too, i would rather just do it on my imac and not have to use the net book.
