EGKS September 23, 2012 Share September 23, 2012 I had about 30 gallons of salt mix that was not being circulated. As a result, there was a sulfur like smell from the water. I ended up dumping it. I was going to make a new batch, but should I clean the container first and if so would vinegar be enough? Thanks.
Jon Lazar September 23, 2012 Share September 23, 2012 I would just use water, not vinegar. But I would also use a sponge or something to wipe down the inside so there's no bacterial film left.

Chad September 23, 2012 Share September 23, 2012 ^just make sure it isn't "splashless" bleach. The cleaning industry is changing things to keep us reef keepers on our toes.
