Types of DIY rock?

How many different types of DIY rock are there that are easy enough to do at home? If anyone knows how to do any of them, could you post the how-to? I kind of like Paul's PVC rock, but don't remember the exact instructions. But I would like to know about others.

I was thinking of Paul's PVC stuff. and couldn't remember how he said to do it, and couldn't find the post. I have a heat gun which is just itching to come out of the closet and blast some PVC into contortions (I actually bought it for bending PVC to avoid using elbows when experimenting with PVC overflows).
