Milwaukee Meters

Just found these guys.  They do not sell online, but in a discussion with them, they claim to be less expensive than PinPoint products.  That said, I'll post info when I learn more about them (basic pricing, availability, etc).  If true, they sure look like a nice line for pH, TDS and related equipment.

Steve

there are a couple online vendors that sell their products. but for the life of me I can't remember who...  Actually- just looked- Champion Light and supply has their stuff.  Look under monitors.

Thanks Michael.

Looking at the PinPoint vs. Milwaukee pH monitors on Champion Lighting and Supply, it seems the key is the price for resolution...

$90 - Pinpoint is accurate to pH of +/-0.01

$66 - Milwaukee is accurate to pH of +/-0.2

Is it worth the money for the extra resolution?  Hmm... to me, in my system, I suspect not.  Still way more accurate than a test kit reading, which is a visual resolution at best of +/-0.5.

Thoughts?

Steve,

Let's put this in perspective:

Seawater: 8.20pH

With an accuracy of 0.2, your tank can be 7.8 or 8.4 - wouldn't you like to know which?

I fully agree- you want the extra decimal place in accuracy.  Milwaukee should have one with higher resolution- champion probably isn't the only vendor.

If all you need is a probe go to reeffanatic.com.  $40 for a pinpoint probe.

Milwaukee is accurate to pH of +/-0.2

Gee, if you are looking for this low res, try DIY reef and get a pH monitor for $48.
