Jan May 30, 2012 Author May 30, 2012 I don't like the oily slick that floats on the top. I've already got flow pointing to the surface to move it around, but a protein skimmer would help.
Guest May 30, 2012 May 30, 2012 I dont use a skimmer on a 14 I have at work. There is a difference in using a skimmer. I wouldn't put one on a pico unless there were SPS in the tank or alot of livestock. If running a filter put a 100 ml bag of purigen in there. You wont have any film on the top after that. Pico's are so small, any equipment you put in the display is an eyesore.
