jason the filter freak December 19, 2011 Share December 19, 2011 Now the problem The airline silencer floods when the power is cut, how do I fix this? When the power cuts the airline silencer floods and water shoots up though it. I'm worried it will shoot up and hit my electronics.
Guest thefishman65 December 19, 2011 Share December 19, 2011 can you add some airline hose? If first option is just raise the intake higher. I think the water level is such that when power is cut the water is higher than the intake. Option 2) add hose and point it back down into the sump. If for some reason you can't, I would connect the airline to the top of the silencer so that water will shoot down into the sump.
Guest thefishman65 December 19, 2011 Share December 19, 2011 I meant the top of the silencer no replacing the tube with a longer tube, but that might work too. thanks for clarifying John.
jason the filter freak December 20, 2011 Author Share December 20, 2011 I might try buying and running another piece of airline to the sump. The skimmer is running external at the moment
