steveoutlaw November 26, 2011 Share November 26, 2011 I know that BRK carries it if you're up for a little drive.
flowerseller November 26, 2011 Share November 26, 2011 You can use some hard pvc as long as you use a few joints or sections in flex since those alone will take out vibration. If none at BRK, savko.com and they have fast shipping.
ErikS November 26, 2011 Author Share November 26, 2011 Got it at the local pool supply place - thanks for all the input. Really I should re-plumb the whole thing to use rigid - too lazy

hypertech November 26, 2011 Share November 26, 2011 It offers some isolation. If that's your goal, a length of silicone tubing is best IMHO.
ErikS November 27, 2011 Author Share November 27, 2011 Flex PVC takes out vibration? No humming noise? The source of the vibration is the pump......flex can isolate it to an extent - but given the leaks I've had lately I'd say they still get through. Soft tubing gives the best isolation. flowerseller November 28, 2011 Share November 28, 2011 I found on a hard plumbed external pump system, two short sections of flex pvc right at the pump which is sitting on either a spongy mouse pad or piece of upside down carpet is perfect. Virtually eliminates vibration and reduces risk of pipe joints loosening and creating salt creap or allowing for a venturi type action which creates micro bubbles. Internal pumps can again sit on spongy mouse pad and have some of that clear tubing as the return.
