DEEPBLUE June 21, 2005 Share June 21, 2005 (edited) I had to get up early today to goto work and turn on the light in my office and saw this. I grabbed my camera and took a couple pictures before it moved away from the light. Can anyone tell me what this is? Is it good or bad? Guest Pandora June 21, 2005 Share June 21, 2005 (edited) I think it's whats commonly called an elephant limpet of the genus Scutus. We had one and mistook it for another kind of sea slug, but hadn't seen the "keyhole shell" initially. It is often hidden over by fleshy flaps in this species. DEEPBLUE June 22, 2005 Author Share June 22, 2005 Thanks for the replies, by the books that I have, they all say they are not reef safe, it says they graze live corel and other invertebrates, but are great algae grazers. So I'm going to try to get it out and put him in my fish only tank in my sons room. Thanks again, Eric
