Mystical Lady October 28, 2011 October 28, 2011 been reading about the Nano Tanks and looking at the beautiful pics posted. I am so excited to finally get back into SW! I will probably have 2-3 small tanks (20-30G range or smaller) instead of 1 large one... just suits my lifestyle better right now....Questions abound though as to what I should be looking for when I purchase the Nano. I have never bought one so I don't know the 'bells n' whistles' than might make life easier for the maintenance/viewing of the tanks... where to buy from? brand names to look for?? accessories?? I think one of the tanks will be a Seahorse tank(small ones of course) and maybe a clown/red anemone tank... not sure about the third one yet.... any advice is greatly appreciated!
Mando77 October 28, 2011 October 28, 2011 There are many different ways to go about it. My 29 gallon has been fully upgraded and now running for over 2 years. You are more than welcome to come and take a look if you want to see how it operates and see the livestock. If I was going to buy a Nano I would just buy one that can be easily modified like a Biocube or JBJ. If you want a nicer look and want to spend more money maybe a Redsea or USA Current tank. They sell just about everything for the Biocube.
zygote2k December 19, 2011 December 19, 2011 go with the 12g Aquapod. they are turn-key right out of the box as long as you don't push them beyond their basic design. clean, neat, and easy. cheap too.
