watson_barrett October 22, 2011 Author Share October 22, 2011 I need the one that says 1.5" on package right?
Coral Hind October 22, 2011 Share October 22, 2011 Normally 1" bulkhead uses a 1 3/4" or 1.75" hole saw.
treesprite October 23, 2011 Share October 23, 2011 Diamond hole saws needed only for drilling a couple tanks are cheaper from a LFS than from a hardware store. I think the ones I got from BRK ranged in price from $10 to $13 (3 diff sizes of bits).

watson_barrett October 23, 2011 Author Share October 23, 2011 also how many holes will they drill before they stop working good?
Coral Hind October 23, 2011 Share October 23, 2011 It depends on how thick the glass is and if you keep the bit cool/lubricated. It also depends on the grade of the bit. I normally get about 20 holes going through 1/2" glass. The last two I got were yellow ones from Ebay. They were shipped from Australia.
.OptimusPrime. October 23, 2011 Share October 23, 2011 If not where to buy lows didnt carry Don't know if this will be too big or not but I have a 45mm drill bit you can have. I've only drilled 2 holes with it. I got it from BRS.
Coral Hind October 23, 2011 Share October 23, 2011 The 45mm is fine for a 1" bulkhead.
Mountaineer October 23, 2011 Share October 23, 2011 I have one, but honestly I doubt it is worth the drive. You can buy one for less than you will spend in gas.
