Papa Splax September 2, 2011 September 2, 2011 I wrote a very in depth article on setting up n aquarium stand the best and safest way. It is a must read before starting the hobby. http://nspeel.hubpages.com/hub/DIY-Setting-Up-The-Aquarium-Stand
Coral Hind September 2, 2011 September 2, 2011 The "braces" in the floor are called "joists" and you want the tank going perpendicular over the joists.
Guest thefishman65 September 2, 2011 September 2, 2011 I think that heat cord are counter to having drip loops. It may just be my interpretation, but drip loops are critical. As are GFCIs which there is no mention of. Also what are you putting the card board under? I hope not a tank that will kill an acrylic or most glass tanks over 4 feet (and maybe some of them).
