Sph2sail October 15, 2003 October 15, 2003 Six fusable link explosions heard, lots of wind, and power dropped again. Dang, we're having a tough time around here... New generator hook up is now working in a REAL mode... reef is running again. I expect to be w/out power for about 8 hours on this one. Usually takes them a bit to restore blown links. s
ReefMon October 15, 2003 October 15, 2003 Dude, at one point your going to need to move to a civilized town or something :p
traveller7 October 15, 2003 October 15, 2003 Power was out in Cascades for about an hour before lunch.
AquariaUSA October 15, 2003 October 15, 2003 I second Reefmon's post! Are you out in the woods? hehe I sure do like Columbia, mostly everything is underground But I still flood the backroom at least once a week!
Sph2sail October 15, 2003 Author October 15, 2003 Hey... I AM in a civilized town. Established in the early days of the county. Not many of you can claim such deep history and heritage in the Northern Virginia area!!! Just because in the dark ages they believed in power lines on telephone poles does not mean we are a bunch of neanderthals in Vienna... Well, it came back on at about 11:50am. Wow. They recovered fast on those blown links. I'm impressed. AND calling the Dominion Virginia Power line gave accurate info on when it was coming back up. Maybe they learned something? I must say it is nice to have everything set, ready to go and easy to plug in. Quite an improvement over the hassle during the storm. Here's to reliable electricity services! s
