Guest D33rex May 19, 2005 May 19, 2005 Im moving my 40g tank, and will need to keep it in my parents basement for a while. But they have a 55 gallon down there I could use temporarily, set up ahead of time and just move the livestock from the 40g into the 55g. Then I would set up my 40g in my new place allowing for a smoother transition during the remove. For a 55g stand I was just going to throw up some cinder blocks and lay some 2 by 4s across em. Does anyone have any objections or horror stories to my temporary cinder block stand?
HowardofNOVA May 19, 2005 May 19, 2005 Got for it, remember to put in a heater being it will be basically on cold floor at the time. Otherwise nothing to worry. Howard
Larry Grenier May 20, 2005 May 20, 2005 Build a little 2/4 box to fit the bottom frame of the tank like those cheapo bolt-together stands. Do not lay the boards flat, they will sag in the middle.
