Guest D33rex May 19, 2005 Share May 19, 2005 Im moving my 40g tank, and will need to keep it in my parents basement for a while. But they have a 55 gallon down there I could use temporarily, set up ahead of time and just move the livestock from the 40g into the 55g. Then I would set up my 40g in my new place allowing for a smoother transition during the remove. For a 55g stand I was just going to throw up some cinder blocks and lay some 2 by 4s across em. Does anyone have any objections or horror stories to my temporary cinder block stand?
HowardofNOVA May 19, 2005 Share May 19, 2005 Got for it, remember to put in a heater being it will be basically on cold floor at the time. Otherwise nothing to worry. Howard
Larry Grenier May 20, 2005 Share May 20, 2005 Build a little 2/4 box to fit the bottom frame of the tank like those cheapo bolt-together stands. Do not lay the boards flat, they will sag in the middle.
