treesprite March 10, 2011 Share March 10, 2011 I still know nothing about lighting. Can a ballast for 2 x 39w T-5 bulbs be used for a single 54w bulb?
Coral Hind March 10, 2011 Share March 10, 2011 Yes, depending on the model. If you can post up the ballast info I will check for you.
treesprite March 10, 2011 Author Share March 10, 2011 (edited) It would be the ballast from a Coralife fixture that is just sitting around looking useless. It's one of those thin flat fixtures they make. Edited March 10, 2011 by treesprite
Coral Hind March 10, 2011 Share March 10, 2011 I was looking for the numbers off of the ballasts but from past experience with Coralife fixtures they mostly use magnetic ballasts so I doubt they will work. If you did get it to light the output would be below specs.
treesprite March 11, 2011 Author Share March 11, 2011 With that info, it's not worth taking apart the fixture to look at numbers. Thank you for helping out.
