bio cube 29 vs bio cube 29 hqi

Is there any way to upgrade the standard bio cube to be like the bio cube 29 hqi? I already have the oceanic bio cube 29 and oceanic protein skimmer. I have also done the nano tuners 4 pc bulb upgrade as well. How ever I would like to switch to the new lid with the metal halides. Is it possible to just switch tops from one to the other? if so where can I just purchase the lid/lighting? In turn if that is possible I would like to sell my kid/nano tuners lighting upgrade. thanks

Before you jump on HQI take a serious look at LEDs. You can probably use the old lid and you would have a lot less cooling problems

hey old sell him your viper i wont miss it was going to yak at you about it soon anyway.

I made a led fixture, and the jury is still out, i kinda like it but--------- i like the halide in my 64 better. True it has t5's on it. I built a led for my 29 and took a long time to figure out how to run it. Anone getting a led i suggest that you over build and tune your lights to your style. Any light i build will be half white half blue with individual brightness for each color

I put a sunpod 150 watt over my Biocube 29g and my corals are fine.
