Sph2sail October 8, 2004 October 8, 2004 Hi all, We have been progressing rather nicely on our goal of becoming a 501c3 status, non-stock, non-profit corporation. To assure success in filing for this restricted IRS status, we have been working with the Fairfax Bar Association's non-profit legal support program. Through this effort, we have a new set of bylaws. Key changes from the previous set: - Much better definition of Directors and Executive Officers. - Cleaner definition of quorums and manners of acting (including electonic methods) - Clear language that complies with regulations for 501c3 status We will be seeking a vote of the membership at tomorrow's meeting on these bylaws, as we will have a majority of members present.
