Nemesis84 December 11, 2010 Share December 11, 2010 Any recommended material to place under the submerged return pump to absorb a little of the vibration for quieting purposes? Its not bad, just trying to minimize. Thanks, Frank
zygote2k December 11, 2010 Share December 11, 2010 I use a stick on foam rubber pad about 3/16" thick. I have lots of this material available.
Coral Hind December 11, 2010 Share December 11, 2010 I've used a piece of felt material from an old filter pad.
davelin315 December 11, 2010 Share December 11, 2010 Foam or neoprene works well (old mousepads are good, too, as long as it's inert and not going to leach stuff into your water). The trick is to find something that is not solid so as to not transmit the vibrations. The type of plumbing you have leading back to the tank will also have an effect on it. hypertech December 11, 2010 Share December 11, 2010 I use a foam pad type thing BRS sells. Works great.
ErikS December 13, 2010 Share December 13, 2010 Mouse pad - the old school type. Cheap & works fine.
