Guest snapper August 10, 2003 Share August 10, 2003 What are you planning on keeping in the tank? That will determine lighting requirements.

Bendalat August 11, 2003 Share August 11, 2003 I have a 8 months dual PFO EYE 250 watts with two 6500K Iwasaki used bulbs, and two new 6500K Iwasaki bulbs. All you have to do is mount it and run it. If you're interested, let me know. Ben.

Larry Grenier August 11, 2003 Share August 11, 2003 i dont care i just wanted to get it up before school whatever lighting is avaiable I have to sound critical not being much of an expert bbbutttt... wrong answer The lighting should be tailored to the tank's inhabitants as much as possible. Grav August 11, 2003 Share August 11, 2003 Larry, You raise an interesting point. he he. Home depot sells 2*4ft shop lights for $24.99. Stantard bulbs (like in your office) are about $3 each. What would this keep alive? On another note, everyone around here is upgrading their lighting all the darn time! Howcome there aren't dozens of PC balasts for sale at rock bottom prices?
