Guest JGreenspan May 27, 2010 May 27, 2010 Hello Everyone, I'm a freshwater guy, an active member of PVAS and GWAPA. I'm buying a tank setup on Saturday with plans to convert it from salt to fresh water. The problem: there are 4 fish in the tank, and some live rock. I saw them today and they look healthy, but I'm not a saltwater guy and can't speak for the quality of their existing environment. The fish list: 10" TWIN SPOT WRASSE, YELLOW TANG, AND A PAIR OF TOMATO CLOWNS. I would like these fish to go to a home (or homes) that I know have reasonable knowledge - thus my posting here. The plan: I will be breaking down the existing tank early Saturday morning, and I've arranged for it to be transported to my office in Annandale. To the best of my ability, I will catch the fish in buckets (I am used to dealing with freshwater fish that have spines, so I prefer to avoid netting when possible). Each fish (except the clown pair) will be transported in its own 5g bucket. I am looking for people to purchase / pick-up the fish and live rock later Saturday morning. I could theoretically set up a 30g tank temporarily to hold them, but don't really have any salt. If you are interested, please call or email me and let me know what items you would like and how much you are willing to pay. I will call you as we heard toward Annandale so you can come get your items. Thank you for helping me ensure that these fish find the care they deserve. Jeff Greenspan jeffg@dbls.com 571-238-6470
lanman May 28, 2010 May 28, 2010 Very nice of you, Jeff. I'm sure someone will step up. How much live rock do you estimate you have in there? Anyone considering should read up on the twin-spot wrasse. Large, aggressive, and will turn your tank upside-down. Pretty fish, though! bob
