Vortec MP10 Issues

I woke up this morning and my wife was complaining about some weird noise coming from my aquarium. It was my MP10 and it sounded like a weed wacker. It is without a doubt the outside motor, because the magnetic inside pump is clean and still runs smooth, but the noise is coming from the outside piece. Has anybody else ever had an issue with this product? I've had my MP10 close to 8-9 months, and I figure I will be on the phone with Ecotec today. I'm just hoping their customer service department helps me out and stands behind their product. This really aggravates me because I love the product and I haven't even had it that long.

I had an issue recently, not the same as what you're describing. Noticed an issue with the pump on a Saturday morning. Emailed their tech support not expecting a reply until Monday. I got an email back in less than an hour and a new part overnighted on Monday. Needless to say, no complaints about the service I received. Good luck.

Good to hear. I just got off the phone and they are sending me a new outside driver overnight. I was pretty impressed with the customer service. Vortec backs up their products and I talked to a live human and didn't have to wait 1/2 an hour.
