www.fishnreef.com May 28, 2010 Share May 28, 2010 You will be sterilizing the bacteria that you want growing...however, most of this bacteria will be living in your tank system. When starting, don't use the sterilizer. This will allow the bacterial growth to reach some critical mass. Later you can switch on the sterilizer.
