jtro April 22, 2010 April 22, 2010 These things are all over my main tank don't remember them before but seems like allot of them is their anything that will eat them or keep them in check.Will get some pics when lights come on some are white some are a dark Grey.One looks like it may be eating on some zoas but not sure. arwndsh April 22, 2010 April 22, 2010 Sounds like you have a variety of astrina starfish. They stay small, I think the largest variety only gets to about an inch across. Most are just grazers but there are a few species that can be opportunistic.
Origami April 22, 2010 April 22, 2010 Sounds like Asterina (see the picture above). The opinion on these is mixed. For some, they're plentiful and harmless. Others say they're predatory, feeding on various corals, including zoas. It could be that there are multiple varieties. In any case, Google "asterina" and you'll find plenty about them. jtro April 22, 2010 Author April 22, 2010 I am still not sure if they are eating anything but the zoas they are near arent happy I keep watching them.Yes Noobalicous some do look like that havent had time to take pictures but I will.
