make the switch to LED now and save yourself time, money, and energy. If you're dead set on the MH,find it used.

well my tank is 20 inches tall (not including the space from the water to the fixture) and i would like to keep my anemones happy and maybe a clam. I'm not super fond of looking for a fixture that's going to run $700+

 

any reccomendations for an LED fixture/pendant for my tank?

2 par 38's will set you back about $210. You can use any type of household light fixture that is 110v. A desk lamp would work.

Yep- that's them. I replaced a 400w mh with 3) 20k, 40 degree optic bulbs. Shimmer is incredible, corals like it, keeps the light off the glass. Has par values greater than the halide.

how high do you have the bulbs from the water?

 

my tank is L 20.5 x W 21 x H 18.5

would your same setup be alright on my cube?
