Schteauxn February 11, 2010 February 11, 2010 So during this snow storm the worst possible situation happened. My tank broke but i don't think it was the glass... somewhere the seams failed and leaked water everywhere. It was a good thing I caught it as soon as it happened and moved everything I had into a brute trash can. My problem now is I need to find a replacement tank ASAP and of course the snow is keeping everyone inside. Its so frustrating sitting here not being able to do anything :( Does anyone know any LFS that might be open to sell me a new tank? Another question is does anyone know if perfecto has a warranty on tanks and what I need to produce to claim that.(I bought it from Aquarium One on rockville pike) I've owned the tank for about 5 months and its only held water for about 4 months. I know that this process is gonna take a long time so I'm planning on just getting another tank set up so that everything isn't sitting in the trashcan also so I can have a separate tank later on to transfer things back and forth if there's a problem again. Any other Suggestions for what I can do for my fish in the bucket? So far they only have some live rock, a heater and powerhead.
L8 2 RISE February 11, 2010 February 11, 2010 what size tank? Depending on where you live, I could help you out holding stuff, and I'm sure there's others out there that would be happy to help as well.

Room mate has a 72G tank which is holding all of my coral. He just doesn't wanna recatch all the fish so they're in the brute. I have a 55g tank you can take if it'll help Thank you very very much for offering!!! but I .. think I'm ok on holding fish and corals. I do have a separate 55 gallon tank sitting on my floor with old live(dead) rock that I can fill up Also my room mate is holding all of my corals. I'm only worried because his tank was set up about a week ago and we threw in a ton of stuff very quickly. I just hate seeing the tank empty and broken. Trying to fix everything soon as I can. I guess I'm just panicking because I'm constantly sitting here with nothing to do except look at my depressing tank :( Thanks again guys!
Coral Hind February 11, 2010 February 11, 2010 I would give Aquarium One a call to see what they can do. They should be able to help you get some warranty info from Perfecto. Was it placed on a Perfecto stand?
hbh February 11, 2010 February 11, 2010 HI! I have an empty 55 L in my shed you are welcome to. I'm in Gaithersburg near 124 and mid-county hwy. The plows and bobcats have come by many times today. If you have a 4WD truck you could come get it tomorrow. It is a HEAVY tank tough so it would take 2 guys to lift. LMK if you want to borrow it for a long time.
