wfoxfox December 29, 2009 December 29, 2009 I have to remove macro from my small fuge often. My magnificent foxface and yellow tang love it :-) Any side effects to the tank? I use the weed sheets quite often, but they break up and decent sized pieces make it to the sponge filter on the overflow :-(
zygote2k December 29, 2009 December 29, 2009 back in the day (ca 1993), I would scrape the turf algae from the ATS screen, dry it for a few days, then feed it right back to the flake food eating fish. It's the same, if not better because of the dried mysis shrimps, than the nori sheets. I've never witnessed any side effects other than fat and happy fish.
quazi December 29, 2009 December 29, 2009 You don't like free fish food?!?! Of course it puts back nutrients in your tank. Food does that!
bluefunelement December 29, 2009 December 29, 2009 I used to do this 10years ago when my fuge was under a LOA 150w MH always the most popular feeding day was caulerpa day - kinda like pizza day in high school
extreme_tooth_decay December 29, 2009 December 29, 2009 I used to feed my fish 1 gallon ziploc bag of caulerpa in a month. Never saw any downside.
