Ick ?

I have never had ick in my tank. It has been an est. tank for 2 years. Nothing has been added to the tank in 9 months. My clown this AM has a fuzzy white spot on its side. He does get "into it" with one of my 3 stripe Damsels. Think it might be a bite? or ick? No pics I'm at work.

Clyde,

If you have a reef tank, I would leave the salinity alone. I doubt you can lower the salinity enough to help the fish without putting corals at risk.

A healthy fish should recover fine on it's own from a minor scratch like you describe. Just watch it for signs of infection.

If your fish are fighting, I would think hard about moving someone to another tank. IME fish like clowns and damsels tend to get more aggressive with age and size.
