How can I get the sand out?

I want to take the sand out of my solana. Is there a way to do that safely & without breaking the whole thing down?

suck some out every time you do a water change, it will take some time but it will also give your system time to adjust to the loss of bio surface.

Yea, or just gradually scoop some out with a cup over the course of some time...

+1, make sure you use a large enough diameter tube. Reduces the chances of getting clogged by shells, etc.
