michaelg November 18, 2002 Share November 18, 2002 The mystery anenome (no ID yet from Calfo or Borneman) that I have cloned again on Friday- I am guessing. This time from the daughter of the original one- which was cloned just prior to the summer meeting. I now have 3 of these anenomes. If this keeps up, I have to get some of them out- likely need to get 1 out now after this little guy grows some, it will force the parent to move- which in my case is trouble. Not sure how the heck I'm going to get one out through- as they are all latched onto one of the main rocks in the display. Will be looking for a good home soon. Larry Grenier November 18, 2002 Share November 18, 2002 Very interesting. Do you have any clowns that associate with these anemonies? Can you describe them... pics
michaelg November 18, 2002 Author Share November 18, 2002 I'll drop some pics in the gallery. They are non-hosting anenomes. What is really unusual about them is the tentacles. Michael
Coral Hind November 19, 2002 Share November 19, 2002 Never seen anything like them but they are pretty. How big are they? How often do they clone? Next time you talk to Calfo ask him how to force a BTA to clone. Thanks
michaelg November 19, 2002 Author Share November 19, 2002 the trunk is about 2/12 inches, the oral disk with the tentacles fully extended about 4-5 inches. It can stand upright about 5 inches. A pretty small anenome. This is only the second time it has clones. The first was about 5-6 months back. I have had the original for about 3 years.
