davelin315 February 18, 2009 February 18, 2009 Not that I'd buy one, but the power consumption of those is supposed to be a fraction of what other pumps use and the heat transfer is far below what other pumps are as well. They are much more efficient overall than other pumps hence their price. Think about it like this, if you buy a pump that is supposed to last 5-10x the life of a pump that costs 5-10x less and then over the lifetime of the pump the energy consumption is 20% the energy consumption of the cheaper pumps and the heat transfer to not only the water in the tank but the air surrounding the pump is almost nothing, doesn't it justify paying more for this pump? I'm pulling numbers out of the air, but just wanted to toss that consideration out there. Again, I'd never spend that money on a pump, but that is one cool pump... is the controller programmable?
NAGA February 18, 2009 Author February 18, 2009 Dave, it is programable from what I have read. Now I wouldn't buy one of these either for my use. I'd love to see one working in person though.
