Guest tgallo March 27, 2003 March 27, 2003 what do you guys and gals use to glue acrylic to glass, i will be turning my old tank into a sump and i deas would be great as far as distance for the baffles for flow and micro bubble control, glues to use. personal experiance with glueing acrylic to glass. how far of the bottom should the baffles be and how much space should i leave from the top of the baffles to the top of the sump etc etc . ???
Sph2sail March 28, 2003 March 28, 2003 Not strong, but sufficient... I used a heavy bead of aquarium silicon sealer on either side of the acrylic butting up against glass. If you don't push it around too much, it will hold just fine. I also used it to create a small baffle out of acrylic that is free standing. There, I used small corner braces of acrylic, but still only aquarium silicon sealer. s
