gioNVA January 21, 2009 January 21, 2009 I don't usually go into vendor reviews but I was at Fins and Feathers last night and they just received what looked to be a big shipment of fish in. Some really nice wrasse and tangs in the acclimation buckets. I think I saw a few flasher, solar wrasse, powder blue tangs, and some copperband butterflies. I've been wanting some helfrichi firefish but the prices on those are usually high. I asked Sean about them and I can't believe the price he gave me for those so I had him order me a pair. I can't wait to get them. I'm also waiting on his next ORA order. His prices on those are really the lowest I've seen anywhere (including online). The coral tank is also looking good. Lots of nice frags there. The acro frags are still coloring up but I also took home a nice blue acro. Color is really close to my blue tort but this one has bushy polyps. They are setting up another huge coral tank and the store looks a lot better.

Not truly a dedicated store, but Sean has been working hard to improve his SW/Reef section and it's noticeable. Great work Sean and I'll be dropping by quite a bit more since the wifey loves Leesburg Outlets and you're close by.

Holy crap....I think "big" was the wrong adjective. All I can say is holy firefish! He had a ton of fish...he didn't have a school of firefish, but a university And it looks like that SPS tank will be up soon. And I would like to thank Sean for doing the group buy on the Reef Crystals. I picked up my 10 buckets last night.

NightOwl January 24, 2009 January 24, 2009 So I stopped by Fins and Feathers based on Francis's post since I have been pricing Helfrichi Firefish for a while and its been hard to justify the amount for one fish to my wife. I think she believes all fish should be cheap no matter how pretty they are. Well needless to say the price was so low that I ended up buying a pair. Pick up in the next week or so once they come out of QT...woo hoo.

I watched him feed them tonight as I wanted to see them eat then walked up the counter and paid my money...lol. Its bad when you start thinking you need to upgrade your tank to buy more fish and coral...lol. Nice Henry! They are already eating mysis btw. I can't wait to take them home.
