How is this deal?

I'm looking for a 24" fixture for my propagation tank and I saw this on Ebay. Free shipping and the bulbs are included. What do you guys/gals think?

Although aesthetically it looks nice, there is no way to know how well it performs. I'd be concerned that the ballasts are not up to par (no pun intended) and would have to be replaced. I feel the same way about the unnamed bulbs, which could be quality, my guess is that they are cheap.

You would probably end up having to replace the ballast of at least the MH to get a decent look out of it. I can guarantee you'd have to replace the bulbs too. You get what you pay for with those lower end fixtures. I ordered a 250watt Odyssea a year or so ago, and the quality of the fixture itself what pretty nice, but the bulbs and the ballast were literally crap. I'd save your money and wait for a good used fixture to come along.
