mling January 13, 2009 January 13, 2009 I understand that it is a good idea to have a sheet of sea weed in the tank for herbivores such as Tangs to graze on. The sea weed at fish stores are far more expansive that those you find at Asian grocery stores. However, there is an endless variety of such sea weeds at these grocery stores. Would it be ok to get any
dschflier January 13, 2009 January 13, 2009 That is what I use. I just get the plain sea weed sheets without anything added and use that. I actually eat a sheet whenever I feed my tangs.
MisterTang January 13, 2009 January 13, 2009 Yep. I bought a whole bunch of the half-sheets, only to realize that I hated trying to roll sushi with the half-sheets - now my tang eats it. I cut it into postage-stamp-sized squares, make small incomplete cuts that go about a quarter of the way through the bottom of the square, and put them on a veggie clip. The cuts help the tang to get the pieces off in 'ribbons', so he eats more of it (as opposed to getting a huge chunk and just spitting it out), and the veggie clip stays in place (less effort required to get a piece off).
