I finally killed my red bugs. I can't wait to see more PE and have my corals color back up. Highly recommend anyone with red bugs do this if possible. I have been waiting months to get all my shrimp and crabs out and get brave enough to put dog medication in my tank. Worked great, I would do it again.

I am excited!

Do you have to dose the tank? Couldn't you remove the Acros and place in a QT and dose them?

My understanding is that they only live on acros. Do they have a plantonic stage? How long would Acros have to be out of a tank for the tank itself to be clean?

You can take the coral out but then there will still be bugs in the tank. I have a 200 gallon with over 100 corals with more than 12 affected. Its not a big deal to do the entire tank. I dont know the answers to your other questions... maybe someone else knows. I just know that they are gone!

Most things I have read recommend doing second and third doses... I may do this later this week just to be sure.

I've never had to dose Interceptor thankfully, but I do have a concern about dosing to the entire tank.

At what time do you know that the interceptor is no longer in the water column? Specifically, when can you begin to add back inverts?

I know with dosing in a QT or secondary setup it's safe to rinse the coral and place them back in the tank, but now that you've dosed the entire tank, can you ever be sure that 100% of it has been removed? Maybe carbon?

you just run carbon afterwards it sucks up the interceptor.

after a couple days with carbon you are safe to add the Shrimps back in, the shrimp are far more resilient than the bugs, most of the time shrimp will live thru the first or second dose and only die on the 3rd, i guess that depends on the strength of the dose..

There's a big thread on interceptor in the Sps keepers section of RC that will

Answer a lot of questions if u are thinking about it...also it is recommended by many if u decide to dose to do it 3 times.one treatment a week to make sure u get them all since interceptor will not kill the eggs..

I did a 15% water change, turned on my skimmer and put fresh carbon in after 8 hours.

I put my hermits back in a few hours later. Shrimp are either gone or at the babysitter's.

"red bugs" are live bearers. Therefore, any eggs that have not hatched won't hatch. They also do not have a free swimming or planktonic stage.

One treatment is enough IMO.
