SeanCallan October 14, 2008 October 14, 2008 Now that I've been bitten by the saltwater bug again I've been around to all the LFS and been viewing a number of internet retailers trying to determine who has the pieces I'd be interested in stocking once my system is stable. I'm always a little apprehensive about internet orders since theres no telling whether photos have been doctored or not. Reefer Madness is a perfect example, they don't doctor their photos but everything is under so much supplemental lighting that you have no idea what each piece really looks like. I stumbled upon Atlantis Aquarium this morning and I'm impressed with their collection, has anyone ordered from there?
gastone October 14, 2008 October 14, 2008 I had the opportunity to visit Ming and Joleen's shop a few years ago when I was out in the bay area. Top notch! The corals are unbeatable as far as beauty. The main caveat I would offer is that much of their stuff is wild and not aquacultured (though they do grow out quite a bit), and their lighting is extremely blue. 20k hallides with actinic supplementation. Prices are a bit steep, but once you've had enough of a brown/green tank you'll have to pay for color anyway. G.

It looks beautiful but how many hobbyist run similar lighting? I'd love to see the pieces under 14K
