Anyone know how to convert a RAW file to jpeg?

I took some pictures using the RAW setting on my camera and can't upload them to photobucket. Anyone know how to convert them from RAW to jpeg or another acceptable format?

 

The pictures are in .NEF format.

Dave, Microsoft's PRO Photo Tools (http://www.microsoft.com/prophoto/downloads/default.aspx), which are free on this page, can be used. You may also have to download the codecs for your camera (look further down the page for these).

 

You can also use their RAW Image Viewer (on the same page) to open and view RAW images. Once it's opened for viewing, just right click on the save icon to get a save-as dialog that will allow you to save the image as a jpeg.
