m3fan8ic September 14, 2008 Share September 14, 2008 Some of you might remember from my post http://www.wamas.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=24521 when I placed a turf scrubber in my sump about a week ago...well week later progress is below. Pretty much screen is covered with brown/green algea and my water quality is great I dodn't see any signs of algea in my display tank. I know Bruce (BBYATV) also placed one in his sump at same time bit different design. We'll compare our results as I am mainly doing this to see how much different this little filteration makes in water quality and to fight IF any algea that starts to grow in my main tank. I'll keep this post updated with weekly pics and results. Day-1 Day-
paenian September 16, 2008 Share September 16, 2008 Looks good! How's the evaporation? I'm thinking of trying a more sealed system to try and cut back on that, but won't have free time on that for a while. Paul

zygote2k October 10, 2008 Share October 10, 2008 If anyone using an algae scrubber would like to use foam in place of the screen, let me know. I have any density foam cut to any size.
