That means the inside of reactor has become too anaerobic and started producing hydrogen sulfide. Smells like rotten eggs. I'll let Dan tell you what to do as I'm not 100% sure. I know that stuff is not that good for your tank, so be careful.
dandy7200 September 16, 2008 September 16, 2008 smells a bit egg like. i need to turn it up a bit i think. comments? Empty, rinse the media (you can reuse it) and start over. Use a Orp probe to prevent this in the future. -175mv is the target range.
