jason the filter freak September 1, 2008 September 1, 2008 jamal is it possible that bulb didn burn out? also is it a voltmeter youre lookinv for? if so and you wanna hook up tomorow i can help you with that
Brian Ward September 1, 2008 September 1, 2008 jamal, i have one as well. you can also pick up a cheap one from radio shack or home depot for about $10. might be something worth having around.
paenian September 1, 2008 September 1, 2008 Sounds like you're good on a voltmeter, but you should know that fluorescent driver uses a rather high voltage to start the bulb - kilovolts on long lamps, probably only hundreds on a UV (I'm assuming it's shorter). This might injure the voltmeter if you're planning to measure the amount of power the bulb is getting. Instead, I would measure the amount of power the driver is using, so you'd need an AC ammeter (don't have one, sorry) or a kill-a-watt meter (got one!). Not entirely sure what you're planning, though. Paul
