jamesbuf August 31, 2008 August 31, 2008 Like the title say, has anyone ever used these: http://www.premiumaquatics.com/Merchant2/m...;Category_Code= Seems like a good idea in theory. Very porous material which enables alot of biological colonization. The 9" x 9" x 4" block seems like it would have quite a bit of inside area for anaerobic denitrification. Thought??.......
Coral Hind August 31, 2008 August 31, 2008 Cell Pore has been around for awhile for wet/dry filters but I have never seen it in the large blocks before. I guess you could use it for anaerobic denitrification just like live rock and it probably has more internal areas then live rock. I would use it in a low flow area. Let us know how it works.
jamesbuf August 31, 2008 Author August 31, 2008 If the blocks weren't so freaking expensive, I'd give it a try.
Coral Hind August 31, 2008 August 31, 2008 Yeah, for that price you might as well just buy the live rock.
