FishWife July 10, 2008 July 10, 2008 Anyone kept/know about these? http://www.vividaquariums.com/10Expand.asp...Code=05-5056-10 Thinking of them for my nano 34g...
dbartco July 10, 2008 July 10, 2008 Have one of them from phisigs a while back, but don't target feed so I only have 1 and 1/2 a polyp still.

jamesbuf July 10, 2008 July 10, 2008 Do you like it? Is it pretty? The picture is, I assume, magnified. How big are they really? I would say the picture in the link you provided is pretty accurate. I also have some and I really like them. I have two varieties, both the stand alone polyps and some of the branching kind. The stand alone have their polyps out all day, but the branching are still adjusting to life in my tank and only 1/3 of the polyps are out during the day. I started with 3 of the stand alone polyps and those three didn't do anything, as far as reproducing, for a good 6 months. Then one just randomly died. Woke up one morning and it was covered in asterina stars, so I'm not sure if the stars ate the polyp or they just scavaged the remains of a dead coral (either way, my harlequin shrimp are quickly making work of those darn asterinas!!!). I had the largest poly get stung by my Riteri, and the mouth slowly disintegrated. I though all was lost, but the rest of the outside flesh decided to pop up several new mouths all over the place. Out of the remains/tissue of my largest polyp, out popped about 8+ new mouths, all of which have been growing nicely. I haven't gotten an actuate count, but I know there are at least 8 new polyps. They are small, but growing pretty fast. Long story short, yes I would recommend them. They are definitely in my top 5 corals in my tank.
ChrisS July 11, 2008 July 11, 2008 I love mine...one of my fav corals. Mine has done extremely well, but then I do feed it pretty much every day. Its in my seahorse tank so when I'm feeding the horses I squirt a few mysids it's way. I've had this for just about a year now. It was one small dime-sized head when I got it. now it's has 6 large quarter sized heads and another 3 dime sized heads and 4-5 tiny little heads forming. I'll post some pics this weekend if you want.
