Coral Hind June 30, 2008 June 30, 2008 (edited) When the power goes out or if I turn the return pump off my sump fills up. When the power is turned back on my in-sump skimmer tends to overflow because of the higher water level in the sump. To stop that from happening I installed a time delay relay which now lets the return pump run for a minute before the skimmer comes on. I bought the relay online for under $13 and it only took a few minutes to wire up. The relay will handle 1.5 amps and a LRA or in rush of 15 amps. The time delay can be set for .03 to 10 minutes.
