reefmontalvo June 4, 2008 June 4, 2008 I take it natural selection will keep the numbers low. Besides they help keep cyano at bay. I just tend to find them pretty dosile but I know your in for a world of hurt if you go to grab them.
CHUBAKAH June 5, 2008 Author June 5, 2008 I don't like worms of any kind. Never have, never will. Caught three a few months back when I had to drain out the tank to relocate it. I used a net to catch them and dropped them onto the street and let cars went over them. A few weeks later, I nearly jumped out of pants when I had my face up close to the tank to look at my firefish when this long azz thing came behind the rock and stretch part way up my tank. Let just say that I avoided that side of my tank for a few weeks. I saw it again for the next few weeks when I feed the tank. I have not seen it in the past couple of months and I be perfectly happy if it died. I don't care who ya are. That's funny right there!
gmubeach June 5, 2008 June 5, 2008 Hate to tell you this, but they are pretty hardy and sting even harder.. its probably sleeping in your live rock!
reefmontalvo June 5, 2008 June 5, 2008 That is true. I noticed that they do come out during the day. But at night is when you find the extremely large ones. I even tried to make my own trap using an old water bottle lets say it was a dud. :(
Guest Zimzdoodle June 20, 2008 June 20, 2008 I noticed in our nano a few months ago some worms. I just used stainless steal tongs which seem to be the best thus far. I slowly go into the tank and try not to hit the live rock on the way down. Once caught at first I placed them in the refugeum but now they are coming back. Next time I catch a nice one I will take a picture and post it up. I find that its the worst when you have a nice frag piece and they are almost embedded into the holes and will not come out.

I still laugh when I think about that. P.S. James, your daughter left her snake in my garage. Remind me next time you come over for a visit.
