My tank is 1/2" acrylic, will these, which cost $20, hold or do I have to get the bigger $35 model?

they work great have both sizes. Can hold my Maxi-Jets and Tunze 6080 without issues. Very strong magnets inside. Even set one up to hold onto my modded MJ1200 and did not budge. I have an 90gal acrylic tank.
