I honestly didn't expect much from a seven dollar shrimp, but this beautiful cool little guy is still alive, keeps cruising around and annoying the frags in my 40G tank....thx to Howard's December group buy!

I mean that seriously...I love him (the shrimp, not Howard...no disrespect, I owe you!).

Wow, that's a beauty. If I'm not mistaken, that's another species of Periclemenes, but I'm certainly no expert.

My little guy is actually a lot more colorful in person, but since he's constantly in motion, it's hard to get a decent pic of him!

will these guys do ok without an anemone? I can only put shrimp in my work tank because I have a dottyback at home, but I can't put a nem in my work tank.

This is one of my favorite wallpapers. I see a stiking resemblance to your shrimp. Are they related?

P. yucatanics, a Caribbean species - awesome shrimps and great photo.

P. brevicarpalisis an Indo-Pacific species.

Probably will do okay - but they will also host in ricordeas, sometimes shrooms, etc.

Cheers

I can not take credit for the photo. I got it off the internet and have used this photo for my desktop off & on for several years. Interestingly, the internet had it labled as a crab.
