BeltwayBandit April 26, 2008 Share April 26, 2008 Title says it all. Is the additional cost of a lab grade PH probe worth the expense. From John's reply in the GB thread it appears the only difference is an extra 6 months life expectancy and less frequent calibrations. Thoughts? flowerseller April 26, 2008 Share April 26, 2008 I think in the long run its well worth the money. How long of a run? I have both and they are over a year old. Lab for the tank Std for the Ca reactor. I clean in vinegar and re calibrate at about 4 months. I check side/side in tank and they remain .02 of each other. If I have to replace now, no lab grade for me.
martin April 26, 2008 Share April 26, 2008 My ph monitor is showing numbers that bounce around, does that mean the probe is going out? I replaced the battery with no effect.
