rocko918 April 23, 2008 Author Share April 23, 2008 (edited) So were are all the zoas? LOL, they are doing well. I will have to take some pics of just zoa soon. They are hard to take pics of then the rest of the corals because they are flat on the sand bed. Hard to get nice shots of them if they are not top down. I'll work on it. Camera is Canon XT with 100mm Macro zoom lens. F/S 32 and some F/S 20 ISO 200 Tripod and my laptop. Edited April 23, 2008 by rocko918
Brian Ward April 23, 2008 Share April 23, 2008 whoa dude what type of camera/lens do I need to get to take pictures like that? You need extensive training and practice with photography. Natural talent is also required. The camera is just a tool. Look at the things Bob builds out of wood - the same tools in the hands of someone else wouldn't make anything nearly as nice. rocko918 April 23, 2008 Author Share April 23, 2008 (edited) A lot of pictures are trial and error. Find out what settings work best and go from there. The camera is a tool and it is what you make of it. I had help with the proper settings to get these shots. Once you understand them your shots will be endless. With everything in this hobby you have to have time to do it. But even a novice photographer can get great shots. Here are some older shots Chris (Phisigs)- This is your pavona i got from you back when you lived in fairfax. Not so good pic. but its a zoa!
