yagerboy March 5, 2008 March 5, 2008 I recently purchased 3 Koralia 4 powerheads and planned on using them with the Red Sea Wavemaker. I have since been told that the Koralias do not work well with wavemakers (sometimes breaking within a week). It was sugggested to use the more expensive Tunze or easily replaceable cheapies. Has anyone had any experience with this? Should I return the wavemaker and keep the koralias or change powerheads? TIA for any assistance.

Supposedly, Hydor has been getting ready to release a wavemaker for the Koralia's for about the past year. I think the main issue with the wavemakers and the koralia's is the possibility of starting the motor up backwards? IMHO the Koralia's are great for a nice low velocity wide dispersion of flow. steveoutlaw March 5, 2008 March 5, 2008 The Tunze Nano Streams are great.......and they are controllable. Just remember, you get what you pay for.
